How It Works
Tacrolimus is a calcineurin inhibitor that reduces specific immune system activity following organ transplantation. The body's immune system may recognize a transplanted organ as foreign and attempt to attack it, potentially resulting in rejection.
Advagraf helps suppress this immune response and reduce the risk of transplant rejection. The prolonged-release formulation provides Tacrolimus exposure over an extended period and is generally taken once daily. Dosage & How to Use
- ✦ Take Advagraf exactly as prescribed by your transplant specialist.
- ✦ Take the prolongedrelease capsule once daily at the same time.
- ✦ Swallow the capsule whole with water without crushing or opening.
- ✦ Take it consistently in relation to meals as directed.
- ✦ Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice unless your doctor advises otherwise.
- ✦ Regular Tacrolimus bloodlevel monitoring may guide dose adjustments.
