How It Works
Letermovir is an antiviral medicine specifically active against cytomegalovirus (CMV). It is used as preventive therapy in eligible transplant patients who may be at increased risk of developing clinically significant CMV infection.
Anvimo helps prevent CMV from producing new infectious viral particles by interfering with the viral DNA packaging process. The duration of treatment and appropriate dose depend on the type of transplant, patient risk factors, kidney or liver function, and the treating specialist's protocol.

Dosage & How to Use
- ✦ Take Anvimo exactly as prescribed by your transplant specialist.
- ✦ The usual adult dose is 480 mg once daily in many indications.
- ✦ A 240 mg daily dose may be used with certain interacting medicines.
- ✦ It may be taken with or without food as directed.
- ✦ Dose adjustments may be required based on kidney or liver function.
- ✦ Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.
Side Effects
