How It Works

Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics the activity of the naturally occurring GLP-1 hormone. Wegovy acts on areas of the brain involved in appetite regulation, helping increase feelings of fullness and reduce hunger.
The 0.25 mg dose is an initial dose designed to help the body adjust to treatment and is not generally the maintenance dose. The dose is gradually increased according to the patient's response and tolerance under medical supervision.

Dosage & How to Use

  • ✦ Inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm as directed.
  • ✦ Use it on the same day each week whenever possible.
  • ✦ It may be administered with or without meals.

Side Effects
