How It Works
Denosumab is a targeted medicine that helps reduce excessive bone resorption. It may be prescribed for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and other patients at increased risk of fractures, depending on the clinical indication.
By reducing the activity of cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue, Denosumab helps maintain bone strength and reduce fracture risk. Calcium and vitamin D intake, along with appropriate monitoring, are generally considered during treatment.

Dosage & How to Use
- ✦ Olimab 60 mg is administered as a subcutaneous injection.
- ✦ The usual osteoporosis dose is 60 mg once every six months.
- ✦ Calcium and vitamin D supplementation may be recommended by your doctor.
- ✦ Calcium levels should be assessed when clinically appropriate.
- ✦ Do not change the dosing schedule without medical advice.
- ✦ Maintain regular followup appointments during longterm treatment.
Side Effects
- ✦ Back, muscle, or joint pain may occur during treatment.
- ✦ Low calcium levels can occur, particularly in atrisk patients.
- ✦ Skin reactions such as redness or irritation may develop.
- ✦ Some patients may experience urinary or respiratory infections.
- ✦ Jawbone problems are uncommon but require dental monitoring.
- ✦ New or unusual thigh pain should be reported promptly.
Storage
- ✦ Store Olimab according to the manufacturer's recommended storage conditions.
- ✦ Keep the injection refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C.
